Chemlease Mould Cleaner EZ is a solvent blend designed to dissolve and remove wax and dirt from composite moulds. Applied with cotton cloths, it prepares surfaces for mould sealers and release agents, and it’s also excellent for cleaning brushes and equipment. Repeat at least two cleanings, re-clean after buffing compounds/glazes, and avoid puddling. Store sealed at 10–35°C.
Chemlease Mould Cleaner EZ is used in composite mould preparation to remove wax and general contaminants so mould surfaces are ready for the next steps – typically the application of mould sealers and release agents for reliable demoulding and part quality. It’s also commonly used to clean brushes and equipment, keeping tools free of residues that could transfer back to the mould. In advanced composites workflows, mould cleaner can also be used to “freshen” surfaces previously treated with semi‑permanent products, and in some cases to prepare parts for secondary operations such as bonding or painting on non‑cosmetic surfaces.
