Chemlease Mould Cleaner 11 is a strong, multipurpose cleaner for composite tooling, formulated to dissolve polystyrene/resin contamination and material build‑up. Its slower evaporation helps soften residues.
Chemlease Mould Cleaner 11 is used for intensive cleaning of composite moulds and tooling where stubborn contamination – such as polystyrene/resin residue or heavy material build-up – needs to be softened and removed prior to re-sealing and re-applying release systems. It’s especially useful when a slightly slower-evaporating cleaner is beneficial, giving more contact time to break down deposits before wiping or mechanical removal. In composites mould prep workflows, cleaners like this support consistent mould performance by removing contaminants (including wax/styrene build-up) so sealers and release agents can adhere and perform correctly. After cleaning, a follow-up clean with Chemlease® Mold Cleaner EZ is recommended, allow the surface to dry, then proceed with sealing and release application, checking the tool surface integrity before restarting production.
