Chemlease 41-90 EZ Release Agent

Chemlease 41-90 EZ Release Agent is a rapid-curing, high-slip semi-permanent mould release for closed moulding of abrasive or low-draft parts. It provides multiple releases with minimal transfer, is easy to apply and offers high thermal stability. Apply 3–5 coats, cure 15 min between coats and 30 min after the final coat. HAPs-free*, no Class I/II ODS.

Applications

Closed Mould Processes

Chemlease 41-90 EZ Release Agent is used in composite closed-mould processes where high slip is needed to de-mould abrasive or low-draft parts, helping achieve multiple releases with minimal transfer. For application, the TDS recommends cleaning the mould (remove waxes/release/sealers), then applying a suitable sealer for new or porous moulds. Apply by wipe or spray as a smooth, wet (not runny) continuous film, wipe off excess before it dries, allow 15 minutes cure, repeat for 3–5 coats, then allow 30 minutes final cure before moulding; reapply a light touch-up coat as required. Because the SDS classifies the product as highly flammable and includes health/environmental hazard statements, always follow site safety procedures and consult the SDS before use.
