Chemlease 2710 Release Agent is a solvent‑based, semi‑permanent release for the composites industry, designed for easy one‑step application. Apply a very light coat and allow it to dry, mould finish is reproduced once dry. After cleaning and final wipe-down, apply 4–6 coats with 15‑minute cure between coats, then cure 30 minutes before moulding. Touch up with 1+ coats as needed.
Chemlease 2710 Release Agent is intended for composites moulding where a solvent-based semi-permanent release film is required with a simple, one-step application method. Apply the product very lightly and allow it to dry. The original mould surface finish appearance is reproduced once dry, which supports surface-quality moulding workflows. For best results, prepare the mould by thoroughly removing wax, oils, sealers, buffing compounds and other release residues – often requiring abrasive methods – then perform a final clean using an appropriate Chemlease® mould cleaner. Apply a Chemlease® sealer where appropriate. Apply via wipe-on or HVLP spray, building 4–6 coats with 15 minutes cure between coats and a minimum 30 minutes cure after the final coat before moulding. For ongoing production, apply one or more touch-up coats when release becomes difficult, allow 15 minutes cure, and resume moulding. Store below 49°C, keep containers tightly sealed, and never puncture containers.

One‑step application (apply lightly, let dry)
Designed for easy one‑step application—apply to the mould surface very lightly and allow to dry, with the original mould surface appearance reproduced once dry.
Predictable, repeatable coating build
Typical application guidance is 4–6 coats with 15 minutes cure between coats and 30 minutes final cure before moulding, supporting consistent film build and repeatability.
Flexible application methods (wipe or spray)
Can be applied by wipe-on (lightly dampened cotton cloth) or via HVLP spray, supporting different shop workflows.
Supports tooling and process conditioning
Mould preparation guidance emphasises thorough cleaning (including removal of wax/oils/sealers/buffing compounds and other releases) and a final clean with an appropriate Chemlease® mould cleaner; sealing is used when appropriate.
Practical touch-up maintenance
When release becomes difficult, you can reapply one or more coats, cure 15 minutes, and resume moulding, helping maintain uptime without full strip-down.
