Zyvax WaterClean is a water-based, solvent-free cleaner for moulds, equipment and finished parts. It removes surface contaminants as an alternative to solvent washing, is non-flammable and won’t harm the surface (including gelcoat). Apply a small amount to the dry surface, scrub with a damp towel, then rinse with clean water until waterbreak-free—ready for sealer and release.
Zyvax WaterClean is used as a water-based mould and finished-parts cleaner to remove surface contaminants without solvent washing – ideal when you’re preparing moulds for the next steps in a release system or preparing parts for painting and bonding. It’s suitable for broad substrate use, including gelcoat, and is intended to clean moulds, equipment, and finished parts without harming the surface. For best results, ensure the product looks uniform, apply a small amount to a dry surface, scrub using a damp paper towel in small sections, and do not allow it to dry on the surface. Remove residues by rinsing with clean water (wet cloth or sprayer) until no residue remains; repeat until the surface is waterbreak-free. Then, proceed with your sealer and release agent. Store between 5°C and 30°C and keep the container carefully sealed to prevent water evaporation.
