Zyvax Flex-Z 6.0 is a solvent‑based, semi‑permanent release agent with extra slip for difficult‑to‑release male moulds and flange areas. Part of the Flex‑Z variable slipcoat system, it reduces prep time, helps prevent styrene build‑up and supports excellent tape adhesion. Apply wipe‑on/leave‑on or HVLP dry spray in multiple coats with 15‑minute cures. Thermal stability: 480°C (900°F).
Zyvax Flex-Z 6.0 is used where maximum slip is needed – particularly on difficult-to-release male moulds and flange areas—to reduce sticking and speed up demoulding in composite moulding operations. It’s part of the wider Flex‑Z system, giving moulders control over release levels across a tool. For best results, remove previous waxes/oils using a Zyvax mould/part cleaner, and apply a sealer such as Zyvax Sealer GP where required. Apply Flex‑Z 6.0 either by wipe-on/leave-on or by HVLP dry spray, building film with multiple coats and allowing 15 minutes cure between coats. After the final coat, wait at least 15 minutes before using the mould. For touch-ups, apply a single coat, wait 15 minutes, and continue processing. Store between 5°C and 30°C, keep from freezing, and keep the container tightly sealed to prevent evaporation/contamination.
