Zyvax Flex-Z 3.0 is a solvent‑based, semi‑permanent release agent with medium slip—ideal for large hulls and flat areas. Part of the Flex‑Z slipcoat system, it reduces prep time, prevents styrene build‑up and supports excellent tape adhesion.
Zyvax Flex‑Z 3.0 is used as a solvent‑based semi‑permanent release agent when a medium slip level is required – especially on large hulls and flat mould areas where consistent release and tape performance matter. In typical mould prep, remove previous waxes/oils using a suitable Zyvax mould and part cleaner, and apply a sealer such as Zyvax Sealer GP where required (new or freshly repaired moulds typically need sealing). For application, you can wipe-on/leave-on or spray using an HVLP set-up so the coating goes on as a dry spray with no wet areas. Build performance with multiple coats, allowing 15 minutes cure between coats, then wait at least 15 minutes before using the mould. For touch-ups, apply a single coat, wait 15 minutes, and continue processing.
