Part of the Flex‑Z variable slipcoat system, it helps reduce prep time, prevents styrene build‑up and delivers predictable release control. Apply wipe‑on/leave‑on or HVLP dry spray in multiple coats, curing 15 minutes between coats.
Zyvax Flex‑Z 1.0 is used when you need minimum slip – particularly to inhibit pre‑release and maintain strong tape adhesion on mould surfaces, while still benefiting from the Flex‑Z system’s predictable release control. It’s designed for polyester-moulding environments to help reduce prep time, avoid sag, and limit styrene build-up so moulds stay cleaner longer. For application, first remove previous waxes/oils with a Zyvax mould and part cleaner, and apply a sealer such as Zyvax Sealer GP if required. Apply Flex‑Z 1.0 by wipe-on/leave-on or by HVLP dry spray. Build the base with multiple coats, allowing 15 minutes cure between coats. After the final coat, wait at least 15 minutes before using the mould. Touch-ups are a single coat plus 15 minutes cure.
