When factory space is at a premium, or when large heavy molds must be used, the Traveling Reciprocator can be the solution. The Traveling Reciprocator is equipment with drive wheels to move the machine over the stationary mold. Material source of gelcoat, resin and chop glass would all travel along with the moving unit. This would include space for solvent, gel coat, resin, catalyst and chop glass. This assembly would straddle the existing stationary molds. Track or guide rails would be placed on each side of the stationary mold. Traverse speed would be linked to the reciprocator application speeds. This would allow application of gel coat or chop lamination directly to the stationary mold below.
The Traveling Reciprocator by Magnum Venus Products (MVP) is an efficient automated spray application system designed for facilities with limited floor space or large stationary molds. Unlike traditional reciprocating systems, the entire unit travels over the mold on drive wheels, carrying the gelcoat, resin, catalyst, chop glass, and solvent supply with it. This innovative design eliminates the need to move heavy molds, improving workflow and maximizing production efficiency. Track-guided movement and synchronized traverse speeds ensure consistent gelcoat and chop lamination application across the mold surface, delivering uniform coverage and repeatable results. Ideal for large-scale composite manufacturing, the Traveling Reciprocator helps reduce labor requirements, improve material control, and increase productivity while integrating seamlessly with MVP’s resin pumping, dispensing, and automation systems.
