Material Monitors

Material Monitors by MVP provide accurate, real-time tracking of resin, gelcoat, and fiberglass usage to help manufacturers optimize production efficiency and maintain precise material ratios. Designed for easy setup, the system allows operators to enter material-specific parameters such as fiberglass yield and resin specific gravity, with an integrated microprocessor automatically calculating and displaying critical production data. Available with easy-to-read digital displays, remote reset functionality, and monitoring capabilities in pounds, kilograms, or gallons, Material Monitors deliver valuable insights into material flow rates and total usage per part. By tracking glass-to-resin ratios and overall material consumption, these systems help reduce waste, improve quality control, and support consistent, cost-effective composite manufacturing.

System Features

The Material Monitors by Magnum Venus Products (MVP) provide advanced, real-time monitoring of resin flow, gelcoat consumption, and fiberglass usage, helping manufacturers improve production efficiency, reduce material waste, and maintain consistent part quality. Featuring the CB-6000 and CB-8000 monitoring systems, these solutions use intelligent microprocessor technology to accurately calculate and display material usage rates and totals based on operator-defined material properties. With easy-to-read displays, remote reset functionality, and the ability to monitor production in pounds, kilograms, or gallons, Material Monitors deliver valuable insights into glass-to-resin ratios and overall material consumption. By enabling precise process control and data-driven decision-making, these systems help composite manufacturers optimize performance, control costs, and achieve consistent results across every production run.

  • This display will have a remote reset (length to TBD) so the operator can reset the counter from the area that he is working in.
  • This display was envisioned as the working meter so the operator could specifically target parts of the tank for certain weights.

DISPLAY #2 EXTERIOR

  • Consists of 2.25” tall x 12.00” wide, red LED on black background, displaying 6 segments. This will allow you to track shot sizes up to 9999.99, 99999.9 or 999999 units
  • This display will have a switch on the box that will allow the meter to be reset from the panel only.
  • This display was envisioned as the overall tracking meter to keep track of the entire part.

DISPLAY #3 INTERIOR

  • Consists of .5” tall x 4” wide (approx.), red or green LED on black background, displaying 8 segments. This will allow you to totalize up to 99,999,999 units
  • This display will have a reset button inside the enclosure so that only authorized personnel have access.
  • This display was envisioned as an inventory meter that could be reset at certain time intervals by certain people.

Specification

  • Panel meter enclosure will be 20” wide x 16” tall x approximately 6” deep. UL listed, Blue color, fully labeled.
  • Scaling of the displays can be done in either pounds or gallons and decimal precision can be adjusted. User preference.
  • Panel will have 1 exterior button for Display 2 reset, 1 remote button for Display #1 reset, and an on/off switch.
  • Displays will be protected by glass/polycarbonate sheet with high visibility
  • Counting will be tracked using a 5 count for APS pumps (a 4 count for UPS) magnetic pickup attached to the fluid section of the pumping system that will be cabled back to the main unit.
