The Magnum Venus Plastech Reciprocator is designed for automatic high-volume production of flat panels or sheets using a chopper and/or gelcoat gun. The gun traverses over a moving mold or table, distributing catalyzed resin & chopped fiberglass evenly on the surface of a carrier film, such as mylar or prepped mold surface.

Precision means savings: The heavy duty carriage reverses virtually instantly, with only a 7-millisecond reverse time to recover the normal gunhead speed. This feature requires no gun triggering, allowing for uniform thickness which contributes to the Reciprocator's high production rate.

Automatic Rollout: Using four strands of roving with the High-Volume Chopper Gun, the MVP Reciprocator can achieve outputs of up to 2700 feet2 (250m2) per hour, with a 1/16 inch (1.6 mm) laminate at 40% glass content. At 1/8 inch (3.2 mm) laminate, an output of 1350 feet2 (125m2) per hour is possible depending on materials and operating conditions.

The M.V.P. Reciprocator system can be designed for various stages of the application process, from gelcoat application to heat curing of gelcoat to resin/fiberglass application to automatically consolidating the glass/resin layer to expel trapped air.
